Douglas Lifeboat Station has announced the passing of its Station President and longtime RNLI supporter Peter Cain.
Better known as Jasper, Mr Cain passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 28.
The station said: “Peter truly embodied Sir William Hillarys motto of “With Courage nothing is Impossible”, he will be missed by so many on the Island and at our station, his incredible memory and stories have entertained all of us over they years.
“The Crew and Committee would like to extend our deepest sympathy to his family.
“We plan to release a longer post once we have gathered all the information about Peters incredible life within the RNLI.”
