Scottish airline Loganair has unveiled a new livery for one of its planes that celebrates its service to the Isle of Man.
The aircraft, which has now landed on Isle of Man for the first time reads ‘Isle of Man’s airline’, while the Loganair logo has been adjusted to represent the three legs of the triskelion.
Additionally, the tail and underbelly have been redesigned to incorporate the forest green accents from the Manx tartan, signifying the hills of the island, within the airline’s own signature colour scheme.
Manx Plane
Named Clan Manannán, after the sea god warrior that the Isle of Man gets its name from, the aircraft captures the merging of the airline’s Scottish heritage with its longstanding commitment and growth on Isle of Man.
Clan Manannán was met on arrival at the airport by the airline’s local crew members, as well as Isle of Man Airport Director, Gary Cobb.
The Isle of Man aircraft will now be stationed on the island, where it will be based as a permanent feature to service routes to and from Ronaldsway Airport.
Loganair
The airline currently employs 39 people locally, with pilots, cabin crew, engineers and cabin crew all operating on the island.
