The Departments of Infrastructure’s summer surface dressing programme is due to start next week, with warnings about disruption across the island.
Surface dressing is a quick process, but can only be done when it’s warm and fairly dry.
The work will be done one road at a time during the normal working day, with the exception of South Quay, Douglas which will be done in the evening after 6pm.
The programme will see the following roads treated:
Tuesday July 9
Vicarage Road, Braddan
A2 Laxey to Onchan Coast Road (Begoade Road to School Road, Onchan)
Blackberry Lane, Onchan
Wednesday July 10
South Quay Douglas
Sartfell Road, Michael
Poortown Road, German
Thursday July 11
Dalby to Sloc, Patrick Road, Patrick
Andreas Road, Andreas (Andreas Village to Regaby Road)
Friday July 12
Shore Road, Gansey
Shoulder Road, Patrick
Each of the roads will close to through vehicular traffic whilst the road is being dressed. Once reopened each of the roads will be subject to temporary 20mph speed limits.
Some of the roads will again close to traffic whilst this product is applied on a second day about a week after the road has been dressed.

Re-lining is due to be undertaken over a nine day period starting Tuesday July 30, details for that will emerge closer to the time.
Where weather is inappropriate to progress works on a particular road it will not close on that day.
