From the 2024/25 academic year onwards, Looky’s Aid is able to offer four scholarships per annum at University Campus of Football Business (UCFB) to Manx youngsters facing economic or personal adversity.
UCFB will discount the fees of successful applicants by £2,500 per annum, thereby removing the current element of fees not covered by the maximum Department of Education grant (i.e. the loan portion).
UCFB offers innovative sports and football degree courses in coaching, business, and marketing, providing a superb qualification for students seeking to work in the multi-billion-pound sports industry.
Looky’s Aid
The opportunity has been made possible through the kind support of Brendan Flood, the founder and chairman of UCFB and is in memory of the charity’s inspiration, Lucas ‘Looky’ Martin.
At 21, ‘Looky’ lost his life to meningitis. He has been described as a wonderful young person and a talented all-round sportsman.
