Maisy-Jo Faragher of Manx Fell Runners gave an impressive performance at the 2026 Lancashire Fell Championships at Pendle near Burnley at the weekend.
Competing in her first year in the U14 category on Saturday (March 28), she finished third for Lancashire, winning the county bronze medal, and fifth overall.
The race took place on a challenging 2.58km course with 125 metres of elevation, featuring a steep climb to Pendle Hill and a fast descent back.
Despite hail, strong wind and severe wind chill, Maisy and her fellow competitors displayed typical toughness and determination and did themselves proud.
