A man who failed to update his financial circumstances to the benefits office has been fined.
Kevin Stephen Quirk, 53, of Port St Mary was sentenced this week by Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood.
Quirk was overpaid £3,992.85 after he twice failed to inform officials of his pension payouts.
Prosecutors noted that had he properly declared the money he would have been entitled to at least some of the support he received.
He has been fined a total of £1,000 for the two breaches and ordered to pay costs of £50.
Quirk has also said he will pay the money back.
