Keyll Darree School of Health and Social Care welcomed the arrival of two new simulation ‘Juno manikins’.
The manikins have been donated by the Henry Bloom Noble Healthcare Trust.
They will play a vital role in improving the hands-on learning experience for student Nurses, enabling them to practise essential clinical skills in a safe, realistic environment.

The mid-fidelity simulator allows students to practise a range of skills including taking pulses, taking blood, catheterisation, and stoma care, and can be adjusted to suit both male and female anatomy.
It is interactive, and is responsive to those who use it, even including reservoir functions which emit fluid when used in procedures such as IV or draining oedema.
Prospective students will be able to view the manikins and facilities, along with having their questions answered, at the Pre-Registration Nursing Open Evening, which will take place at Keyll Darree on December 5 from 6pm – 8pm.
Theatre Education Lead, Liz Hignett, said: “We cannot thank the Henry Bloom Noble Healthcare Trust enough for their instrumental support in making this possible.
“The procurement of these manikins will significantly enhance our student Nurse training program, helping to cultivate our next generation of nursing professionals.”
