The talented trio of Lara Smith, Rory Turner and Zac Woodward competed in Manchester this weekend at the Vault Master.
Their journey to this point has been guided by their dedicated coach, John Whitlow.
John’s commitment to nurturing the young athletes has been instrumental in their progress.
Vault Master
The Vault Master is a world event with many elite pole vaulters from around the world in attendance.
Western AC commented on its athlete Rory Turner saying the event was a “huge learning curve for Rory”.
The club said its a major big event with the chance to perform on state of the art Olympic standard equipment.
It added: “Rory was there alongside two of his fellow islanders pole vaulters and it was great to see representation from three island clubs and the athletes proudly wearing their club vests with pride.”
