Only a few weeks ago Jamie McCanney and his fellow Manxman Jed Etchells were representing Great Britain in baking sunshine at the FIM International Six Day Enduro (ISDE) in San Juan, Argentina.
Boxing Day however was a cooler and slightly less pressured event as the pair enjoyed the Ramsey Motor Cycle Club‘s annual pairs enduro at West Kimmeragh. Bride.
McCanney had paired up with local TT rider Michael Evans with Etchells partnering with Liam Crellin.
After three hours on track, it was McCanney/Evans who took victory notching up 31 laps.
Etchels and Crellin were second having also completed 31 laps but not after having a battle with Danny McCanney and Jamie Cringle who finished third (31 laps).
There were two all-female pairs in the main event with Saskia Baxter and Jacalyn Riding highest placed. The other all-female team was Shantelle Thorp and Alex Pressly.
Forty one teams raced in the main three hour event with another twelve in the one hour solo Youth Race.
Stanley Cubbon took the chequered flag on ten laps, with Shaun Crone, second.
