Mark McGreal continued his solid start in Glasgow with a composed 2–0 win over Royden Aperau of the Cook Islands, securing consecutive victories for the Isle of Man.
Speaking after the match, McGreal said he was “really pleased” with how he settled, noting that he produced “nice bowls, clusters rather than the first game against Jersey,” which he described as “a little bit scrappy.” Today, he added, felt like things were “starting to come together.”
Next up is Australia, and McGreal is under no illusions about the standard he’ll face. His opponent sits inside the world’s top ten and is a double Commonwealth singles medallist. McGreal said the team is “relishing the opportunity” to test themselves against that level.
