Douglas North MHK John Wannenburgh has called on the DoI to fulfil a commitment to review resident parking permits in Douglas.
The motion, focused on Disc Zone H, which includes streets from Peel Road up to Bucks Road, was brought forward following a public petition.
While Mr Wannenburgh’s motion was unsuccessful, it resulted in a departmental pledge to conduct a review.
He said: “Ultimately the motion was not carried, but the DoI Minister did commit her department to carry out a review of resident parking permits, so that is a positive outcome.”
The MHK has confirmed the promised review has not yet begun.
Having previously sought an update in the House of Keys, he has now written directly to the new minister, Tim Crookall, requesting urgent action.
