Middle MHK Stu Peters it to call on Tynwald to back a referendum into net zero.
His motion is currently set to go to Tynwald in December.
Mr Peters’ motion is for a referendum to be held on whether to “abandon or to continue with the policy of achieving Net Zero Carbon Emissions as laid out within the Climate Change Act 2021”.
He is calling for that referendum to be held on the date of and alongside the next general election on September 24 2026.
