MiCard Payments Brought Forward

The final round of benefit and pension payments for 2025 has been brought forward and is in the process of being paid to all recipients.

Remaining MiCard users are reminded that their existing cards will expire and cease to work after December 31.

All customers are advised to redeem any remaining MiCard balances before January 1 2026.

Any funds that remain on previously issued MiCards after December 31 will be made available to customers, with outstanding balances being sent by cheque in the New Year.

Payments

After December 31, anyone who has not been in touch with the Social Security team to either confirm their bank/online account details or apply for the Payment Exception Service will receive benefit and pension payments by cheque to their postal address.

Cheques can either be paid into a bank/online account or cashed at a post office.

Customers can still switch from cheque payments to direct payments into their bank/online account at any time.

Contact the Social Security team by email to socialsecurity@gov.im, call 685656 or visit the public counter at Markwell House on Market Street in Douglas.

The public counter at Markwell House will close at 1pm on Christmas Eve and reopen at 9am Monday December 29.

It will close again at 1pm on New Year’s Eve and reopen at 9am on Monday January 5 2026.
