Milky’s Safety Message

Milky Quayle has participated in this year’s safety video for the Isle of Man TT Races, ‘The Tourist’.

This year’s Spectator Safety Campaign is a timely reminder: the Mountain Course might be the ultimate stage for road racing, but it’s also a shared space where safety is everyone’s responsibility.

Guided by TT Rider Liaison Officer Richard ‘Milky’ Quayle, The Tourist is discovering what it takes to be a good spectator.

From recognising the importance of watching from safe locations, to understanding road closures, and always following the instructions of the marshals.

Safety Message

As they travel around the course, The Tourist is learning one of the most important lessons of all: keeping the TT safe starts with them.

That means never entering closed roads – not by foot, and not by vehicle – regardless of whether racing has started. Doing so compromises safety, risks lives, and carries serious legal consequences.

The Tourist is also shown how to spot the Roads Open Car, which is clearly marked with red flashing lights.

Visitors arriving via the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company ferries will get to see The Tourist’s new safety video onboard during their journey, while others can watch online via the official TT and Visit Isle of Man social media channels.
