Manx dressage rider James Mister’s preparation for the Lemieux National Championships is well underway.
The Union Mills based rider will compete at Somerford Park, Cheshire on Thursday (September 12) with his dancing partner Graigueavern Forester.
The pair will compete in the elementary class on Thursday morning at British Dressage’s National Championships.
Journey to Nationals
They travelled from their Isle of Man base at Kennaa Equestrian Centre to Walton Fold Dressage in Lancashire to prepare.
Mac, as he is known at home, and James will now train with list one and five star international judge Clive Halsall until the championships.
The dressage rider, who is also a full-time dressage trainer, and his 18-hand dancing partner travelled to Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre, Cheshire, for the Summer Regionals in July.
They finished third in the elementary class at the hotly contested event which gained them their ticket to Nationals.
The duos road to the National Championships has been far from a stroll in the arena, as Mac, as he is known at home, suffered an injury earlier in the season.
