Not an awful Monday, with a fair bit of sunshine, the odd shower and a strong breeze, but a yellow weather warning has been issued for coastal overtopping and inner harbour flooding.
It will be dry and bright this morning (February 12) with unbroken sunshine, but breezy with a fresh to strong west to southwest wind.
However, later on today it will gradually turn cloudier in the afternoon with the risk of some sharp showers developing for a time during late afternoon and evening.
Top temperature around 8°C.
The showers will clear away later this evening, leaving the rest of the night dry with clear spells developing, as the southwest wind starts to ease later tonight.
Minimum temperature around 3°C and sunset at 5:21pm.
Coastal overtopping
A yellow weather warning has been issued for coastal overtopping and inner harbour flooding.
The warning comes into place at 11am today, until 3pm.
High spring tides and a fresh to strong southwest wind will combine to lead to a risk of minor inner harbour flooding around the time of high tide – around 1pm.
In addition minor coastal overtopping is also expected around exposed coasts and promenades around the time of high tide.
Areas at risk include Shore Rd Rushen, Castletown prom, the northern end of Douglas prom and to a lesser extent Laxey prom and Ramsey prom.
