The examination of the Mooir Vannin Offshore Wind Farm application resumes today, with a public meeting taking place this afternoon in Douglas.
The process opens this afternoon, (Monday July 13) with a Public Meeting at 4pm in the Villa Marina, Promenade Suite. Anyone wishing to speak must have already registered at least five working days in advance, which allocates them a timeslot to address the Examining Body.
The independent Examining Body are considering the Mooir Vannin Offshore Wind Farm application by Ørsted.
Over the coming days, three Specific Issue Hearings will follow at the Comis Golf Club, Mount Murray, each starting at 10am:
- Seascape & Groudle Glen — Wednesday July 15
- Environmental Matters — Thursday July 16
- Marine Infrastructure Consent and Strategic Matters — Friday July 17
An accompanied site inspection will take place tomorrow (Tuesday), with attendance by invitation only.

The Chair added that no conclusions have been reached and none will be made until the examination closes in September.
After this week’s events, the examination will move into the reporting phase, during which the Examining Body will prepare its recommendation for the Council of Ministers.
