Woodbourne House to Close

Woodbourne House has confirmed it will end operations at Freemasons Hall at the end of the year.

It cites rising food, wage and energy costs, alongside the substantial maintenance needs of the historic Freemasons Hall, as key pressures.

Despite lengthy discussions with the landlord, the business says it was unable to secure a financially sustainable long‑term future at the site.

Cease Operations

The business will cease operations on December 31, bringing nearly a decade of weddings, celebrations and community events to a close.

It says all confirmed bookings for 2026, including major events such as Oktoberfest and The Dynamos, will proceed exactly as planned.

Clients have been contacted directly, and the team says its focus now is on delivering every remaining event “with the same care, professionalism and attention to detail” the venue is known for.

Anyone with questions is asked to visit woodbournehouse.im or email events@woodbournehouse.im.

In a message to customers, the team thanked the Isle of Man community for its loyalty and support, saying the memories created over the past decade will “remain long after the doors close for the final time”.
