Carriageway repair works will take place on Peel Road between The Railway Inn at Union Mills and Snugborough next week.
The works from Tuesday (May 5) are expected to take around two days, with two‑way traffic maintained under 24‑hour temporary traffic lights until completion.
The timing has been arranged to avoid clashing with ongoing private surfacing works on nearby Braddan Road, where temporary lights will be removed once that project finishes.
Following the DoI’s repairs, the owner of The Railway Inn will carry out separate works to fix a roadside drainage issue and repair the retaining wall bordering the pub garden.
These works cannot run concurrently due to their location and will also require temporary traffic lights for up to one week. They too have been scheduled to avoid conflict with the Braddan Road surfacing works.
Road users are advised to allow extra time for journeys and consider alternative routes.
