A record 170 crews from across the UK and Ireland will contest next week’s Manx National Rally.
This is the biggest single entry in 60 years of Manx closed‑road rallying and one of the largest UK stage rallies of 2026.
The event is expected to generate well over £2million for the island’s visitor economy.
Manx National Rally
The rally, run by Manx Auto Sport, counts for five championships including the Protyre Asphalt and British Historic series.
Sam Touzel/Max Freeman (Ford Fiesta Rally2) lead the field, followed by multiple Manx winner Jason Pritchard/Phil Clarke (Toyota GR Yaris Rally2).
They are chased by David Wright/Jane Nicol, Hugh Hunter/Andy Marchbank (both Fiesta Rally2), Ireland’s Ryan Loughran/Rob Fagg (Fiesta Rally2), Niall McGonigle/Caolan McKenna (VW Polo GTi R5), Cal McCarthy/Eric Calnan (Citroën C3 Rally2), Brad Cole/Jamie Vaughan (Fiesta Rally2), Steve Wood/Kenny Hull (Polo GTi R5) and Roger Duckworth/Ian Windress (Fiesta R5).
Entries
Two‑wheel‑drive contenders include Lee Edwards/Sam Spencer (Jaguar‑engined Escort Mk3), Huw James/Lewis Sim (Fiat 131) and Gordon Morrison/Ian Parker (Escort Mk2).
Historic crews are led by Martin McCormack/Barney Mitchell (BMW M3), ahead of Gareth James/Dale Gibbons, Stefan Davies/Michael Gilbey, Will Rowlands/Emyr Hall, Donagh Kelly/Rory Kennedy, Richard Hill/Patrick Cooper, Michael McDaid/Harry Stubbs and Richard Jordan/Sam Collis.
Around 35 Manx crews compete, headed by Rory and Paul McCann, George Collister/Janet Craine, Declan Jackson/Barry McCarney and Martyn Jones/Steve Luton.
The rally features 22 stages, totalling 137 miles, based at the new Andreas Rally Village.
