The Mountain Road will remain closed until midday tomorrow.
The Department of Infrastructure has made the decision to extend the closure due to continuing icy conditions on the road.
Access to the Creg Ny Baa Hotel is available from Douglas (Hillberry) and Laxey (Creg Ny Baa Back Road).
The road closure will be reviewed again in tomorrow (January 7) morning and a further announcement will be made.
