Police are investigating an altercation between several men at around 4am this morning on a street in Douglas.
Market Street was closed for several hours today from its junction with Church Road Marina.
The incident, outside Elegance Taxis saw damage to building and a photograph circulating on social media shows blood on the ground in Strand Street, allegedly following the incident.
Inspector Michael Taylor said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience the closure of Market Street may have caused today, this is not a decision that is taken lightly however it is imperative that we secure all available evidence at the location to establish the facts of the matter which remain under investigation at this time.
“We would like to appeal to members of the public, who may have been in the area at the time, or anyone who has information regarding this incident to contact 01624 631212 quoting the reference number 97/5203/24.”
