Lady Lorimer attended Love Tech’s big Summer Open Day over the last week, meeting several key members of the charity,
She is the patron of the charity which seeks to inspire and empower girls to explore opportunities in STEM on the Isle of Man.
Held at the Manx Museum, the event was designed to provide opportunities for the island’s children to participate in a range of hands on STEM activities, free of charge.
Government House said: “It was wonderful to see that nearly 200 children attended the event with excitement and enthusiasm, where they were able to experience four different workshops – Code Club, Young Engineers, Fun Science and a cat-themed AI session with Chis Kissack.
“Love Tech provides excellent opportunities for the island’s younger generation and we look forward to hearing about their next event. Well done to all of the team at Love Tech who make such a difference.”
