National Ice Cream Day

July 20 marks National Ice Cream Day, a time to celebrate one of the UK’s most nostalgic and cherished treats.

With a heatwave sweeping the nation, there’s no better time to enjoy the simple joy of ice cream.

The Ice Cream Alliance is using this occasion to spotlight the hardworking ice cream makers, parlours, and van vendors whose passion and creativity help bring happiness to communities up and down the country.

To celebrate, local vendor on the island, Davisons in Peel, will be getting involved.

Catherine McNeil, Director of Operations of Ice Cream Alliance said: “I’m proud to work alongside the talented ice cream artisans in our network.

“Our members show real passion and love for their industry, supporting one another through challenging times and they continue to be a vital part of their respective communities.

“On National Ice Cream Day, we celebrate both the makers and the public who help keep this joyful part of British culture alive.”

Thanks to the Public

This National Ice Cream Day is also a chance to thank the public for their continued support.

The hospitality industry as a whole has faced numerous challenges in recent years.

Without the loyalty and enthusiasm of customers, ice cream businesses would have already served their last scoop.
