The legal team at an on Island law firm has been ‘strengthened’ with the appointment of a new paralegal.
Karen Daly has been appointed as a paralegal at Douglas based DQ Advocates.
With experience in both the private sector and within the Health and Social Care field, Karen decided to opt for a change in career and undertook a Graduate Diploma in Law.
New appointment
A placement with DQ in the summer of 2022 sowed the seeds even more and she has now joined the company permanently.
Daly said: “I am thrilled to have joined a progressive law firm with such a modern approach to the landscape of legal and advisory services and one which places so much importance on offering the highest standards to clients.
“When I approached DQ about working with them on a more permanent basis, they thankfully invited me for an interview and offered me a position as a paralegal to learn the essentials before continuing my studies.

Managing Director Mark Dougherty added: “The appointment of Karen represents another strong strategic recruit to further expand the wealth of knowledge offered by the team. She is a very welcome addition and someone we are excited to bring on board.”
