Firefighters on the Isle of Man will be able to deal better with fires involving electric cars and solar panels.
New equipment is being introduced to the service to help adapt with possible incidents.
A new extinguisher has been made available which can a spray a coating onto solar panels which can de-activate the solar panel system in seconds.
Fire crews also have the advantage of using a new fire blanket which can be deployed at fires involving EVs and in underground car parks.
