The Police have warned “inconsiderate cyclists” not to ride their bikes through Douglas’ high street.
As a pedestrian only area, vehicles, includes bikes, are not allowed except for during prescribed times.
The Eastern Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Douglas City Council has taken several reports of inconsiderate cyclists using the main shopping street; Duke Street, Strand Street and Castle Street.
“The area is clearly marked for pedestrian use only with no vehicular access (except for loading during certain times) and this includes cyclists.
“If a bike is your mode of transport, then please avoid the shopping street and use an alternate route or get off and push the bike.”
