The Northern Civic Amenity Site committee says it’s still in talks with the Department of Infrastructure to find a solution for its future.
Chair Karl Brew says the changes to the operating hours site was made to manage the resources it has within current financial constraints.
The Northern Civic Amenity Site will only be open five days a week, starting from today it will now close on Sundays and Mondays.
Bride Commissioners recently stopped paying into the NCAS saying the reasons behind the decision were financial and also because the system is ‘unfair’.
Mr Brew says he hopes residents using the site will remain ‘respectful’ to staff during the change period.
