Braddan Commissioners agreed that if the northern local authorities payed into the Eastern Civic Amenity Site they could be allowed to use it.
A request had been sent to the commissioners about whether they could pay into the ECAS following Bride Commissioners decision to drop out of the Northern Civic Amenity Site earlier in the year – leaving a £67,000 shortfall.
Chair Andrew Jessopp, who sits on the ECAS committee said if Ramsey wanted to join then their contributions would still be worked out based on the rateable value of the area.
The cost of the site would be divided up between six instead of five, potentially reducing the amount paid by the other local authorities and it was agreed they would support the idea and ask the ECAS joint committee to do the same.
