The owners of Ashcrofts in Circular Road in Douglas have clarified why its building is on the market.
The painting and decorating shop was founded more than 100 years ago.
A spokesperson for Ashcrofts said: “Presently the business continues to trade as usual.
“We have put 35 Circular Road on the market to gauge the demand.
“Any decisions on the future of Ashcrofts will be made in the future.”
