Patient Transfer Group Thanks Airport

Liverpool Airport has confirmed the long-term future of a vital facility for Manx patients travelling for medical treatment.

The Patient Transfer Service’s Quiet Room, located in a temporary space since May, will now remain in its current location for the foreseeable future.

Carole Male from the group confirmed the development, saying: “Great news! We’ve heard from Liverpool Airport and it’s been decided to let us keep our Patient Transfer Quiet Room in the temporary room we’ve been using since May on a much longer term basis.”

Perfect

She highlighted the room’s ideal situation, noting: “This area is perfectly placed for our Quiet Room. Close to all the facilities patients travelling need.”

While the arrangement may not be permanent, Carole expressed confidence in the airport’s support. “This room may not be forever but we trust that Liverpool Airport won’t let us down.

“Patients travelling need a quiet place to wait.”

Carole also confirmed the group plans to upgrade the room.

She added: “Could we say a massive thanks to John Irving CEO of Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Lucy O’Shaughnessy for their help.”
