A person involved in the road traffic collision on the Poortown Road earlier today has been flown to a UK hospital.
This morning, the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) responded to the road traffic collision on the road in Peel.

The charity’s critical care team was activated at 10.59am and they had a paramedic and doctor on board their aircraft.
GNAAS arrived on scene at 11.28am and worked alongside the Isle of Man Ambulance Service to assess and treat a patient.
Once the patient was stabilised they were flown to a specialist hospital in the UK for further treatment.

This is the second incident GNAAS has responded to in the Isle of Man since a new contract has been agreed between Manx Care and the charity.
The contract, which commenced from April 2025, will see continuation of GNAAS’ service for 12 months.
Manx Care will fund the service based on a per mission costing and the charity committing to strengthening their fundraising activities on the island.
It is estimated that the charity needs to raise £124,000 a year to cover additional costs such as safety equipment required to travel over water.
