A petition to reinstate a bus service in the south of the island has got more than 450 signatures.
The petition calls for a bus service to Cregneash and The Sound to be reinstated after it was axed this year.
The creator of the petition, Christa Viohl, says she wants “a suitable and affordable transport service back, combined with the arrivals and departures of the steam trains”.
Bus Service
She claims that tourists who stay on the island have “no possibilities” to get to the area by bus if the bus service runs at the weekends only.
Viohl wants to see a “newly installed service should therefore run on one weekday at least”, which she says “would increase the number of people using the service and its financial revenue”.
