Smart Bird Rocks Ltd has submitted a plan to convert an office into a childcare facility with outdoor play area.
The application (25/90047/B) is for St Thomas House, 30 Victoria Street, Douglas.
The plans would see room for up to 75 children and 15 staff with the business planning to open from 7:45am – 6pm, to “serve the intended clientele in the business, retail and service sectors all located within close proximity”.
It may also seek to open at weekends between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm operation as a “drop off” facility.
If approved the roof area will be transformed into an external children’s play space with a glazed barrier to enclose its perimeter.
