The incidents occurred between 12:30pm and 3pm on Monday June 16, with the kittens found outside the Isle of Man Bank on Athol Street, Tesco Lake Road, Kensington Road, and Shaws Brow car park.

A police spokesperson said: “The circumstances surrounding how they came to be injured remain unclear. At this stage, no specific cause has been confirmed, and we are keeping an open mind as to what may have happened.”

Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in these areas to come forward.

“We are urgently appealing to members of the public who may have seen anything unusual or concerning in or around these locations during the time specified,” the spokesperson added. “Even the smallest piece of information or footage from a dashcam could assist with our enquiries.”
