Upper Sixth students at King William’s College are reflecting on a strong set of International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme results.
Results were released on July 6, six weeks after exams finished in May and six weeks before A-Level results day.
The average points score per candidate is 31.2, which is equivalent to getting AAA at A-Level.As usual, both the KWC average points score and the pass rate are higher than the world average.

13 KWC candidates scored 35 points or more, placing them in a highly competitive bracket for entry to top-tier universities.
Two students achieved over 40 points, a world-class performance akin to securing A*A*A*A* at A-Level.
Three-quarters of students making UCAS applications are straight in to their firm or insurance choice of university, with others confirming their plans in the next few days as Admissions officers process results from Sunday.
Commenting on the results, KWC Principal Damian Henderson said: “These results are very pleasing and will facilitate passage on to an impressive range of destinations for future study and work.
“No matter what score has been achieved, each student has demonstrated superb commitment to their studies and leaves us with an extensive set of skills and attributes that will help them succeed in the modern world.”

He added: “The strength of our Sixth Form is in the amount of individual support we give to students from an array of different backgrounds.
“Whether they have been at our School since Pre-Prep, or arrived just two years ago, all have been pushed to be the best version of themselves, in and out of the classroom.
“I am incredibly grateful to KWC teachers, support staff, parents and guardians, for working together to guide these students through the challenging but rewarding Diploma Programme.”
