Post Office Sets Out Price Rises

Following a strategic review of the Isle of Man Post Office a number of changes will be put into place next year.

While the initial changes will pass on increased costs for letter and all international mail, it will continue to offer lower local and UK parcel tariffs for 2025.

A key feature of the new local services to be launched in February, is full tracking.

Changes at Post Office

With effect from January 13, the new pricing model will see the introduction of separate standard letter rates for the IOM and UK, with a local to local letter rate of 90p, a UK rate of £1.00.

Rates for standard large letters will be simpler, with a single rate each for IOM, or UK/Channel Islands destinations.

Mail destined for international locations will see updates to all prices and weight bands.

World zones for international mail will also be removed, meaning a single letter rate to all international destinations, and large letter and parcel rates simplified to either EU or Rest of World.

The promotional rate for tracked parcels from £3.75 will continue into the New Year.

Other tariff changes from January include an increase equivalent to C.P.I. of 2.5%* which will be applied to ancillary services such as Redirect, Business Reply and PO Box Services.

The second phase of the changes will begin at the end of February, with further details about these being made available in the New Year.
