A National Crime Agency director says investigations into Michelle Mone remain ongoing.
The Guardian has reported that the agency’s director general of operations, Rob Jones, answered questions on the case this week.
Mr Jones confirmed that the case hasn’t been sent to the Crown Prosecution Service.
He said: “There’s always conversations with the CPS about complex cases like that, but the full file submission to the CPS hasn’t gone ahead yet.”
The director added that he and his agency are “not scared” of PPE Medro’s lawyers.
Conservative peer Michelle Mone and husband Doug Barrowman have always denied any accusations of wrongdoing.
