The Isle of Man’s business community, regulators, and government will come together on May 1 to discuss preparations for the upcoming MONEYVAL evaluation in October 2026.
MONEYVAL is a permanent monitoring body of the Council of Europe entrusted with the task of assessing compliance with the principal international standards to counter money laundering, the financing of terrorism, and the effectiveness of their implementation.
The event, Preparing for MONEYVAL, will feature insights from the Financial Services Authority, the Gambling Supervision Commission, and industry experts, including representatives from Jersey, following its recent successful evaluation.
Hosted by Tiller Technologies, the free event will offer practical guidance for regulated businesses.
The panel discussion, running from 9am to 10am at the Comis Hotel & Golf Resort, will cover key topics such as evaluation expectations, lessons from Jersey, and aligning AML frameworks with MONEYVAL standards.
Evolving
Jonathan Wauton, CEO of Tiller Technologies, said: “We understand the ever-evolving challenges facing the Isle of Man and all other offshore jurisdictions around AML and proceeds of crime. This event is one of the ways we’re helping the Isle of Man ensure a successful evaluation in 2026.”
Moderated by Sinead O’Connor (DQ Advocates), the panel includes David Baker (IOM FSA), Shanon Reid (Gambling Supervision Commission), and Scott Le Flour (Triskele Solutions, Jersey).
Attendees must register in advance via Tiller’s event page. This marks Tiller’s third Isle of Man engagement in six months, following the launch of its Verify by Tiller AML platform last October.
