The Department of Infrastructure is urging the public to respect the temporary closure of Public Right of Way 363 at Orrisdale, Kirk Michael.
The closure is in place to allow contractors to safely upgrade two bridges and complete surface improvements along the route.
Blacksmiths and joiners are currently on site installing new bridge decks, while a tractor‑mounted flail is cutting back vegetation.
An excavator is also scraping back verges ahead of the path being resurfaced with rolled road planings.
The DoI says the path often becomes very wet underfoot during winter, and the upgrades are intended to improve conditions and make the route accessible to a wider range of users.
Walkers are asked to follow the signposted alternative route until the works are complete.
