Public Meeting to Update Autism Strategy

The Department of Health and Social Care will hold a public meeting later this month to update residents on progress with the Autism Spectrum Condition Strategy.

The session, organised with Autism in Mann, takes place on Tuesday, April 28 at Centre 21 in Douglas from 12.30pm to 2pm. Anyone with an interest in autism support or the wider strategy is invited to attend.

The ten‑year ASC Strategy, launched in 2024, is the Island’s first national plan to make the Isle of Man more autism‑friendly.

It focuses on collaboration between autistic people, families, government, public services, businesses and the third sector.

The meeting follows a busy Autism Acceptance Month, which has seen new and expanded initiatives aimed at improving support and increasing understanding across the community. DHSC will outline this work and how it fits into the long‑term strategy.

Those unable to attend, or who prefer to submit questions in advance, can email autisminmann@manx.net by Friday 24 April.
