Children at Henry Bloom Noble Primary School have helped spread safety messages after taking part in a construction‑themed poster competition run by Dandara.
Pupils aged four to 11 created designs warning about the dangers of construction sites and why they must never be entered.
The competition followed a school visit from Dandara’s Health and Safety Manager, Paul Roberts, who spoke to classes about staying safe around active building areas.
Winning Posters
Judges selected winning posters from each year group, with the enlarged designs now displayed at the entrance to The Waterside at Quay West, where construction is under way near Tesco.
Paul Roberts returned to the school to present certificates and prizes, praising the pupils’ creativity and attention to detail.
He said engaging with the community is a key part of the company’s work and that helping children understand site hazards is essential.
The Waterside at Quay West is a new apartment development on a former industrial site in Douglas.
