The Quayle name is set to return to the TT Course, with Team ILR announcing Illiam Quayle will make his debut at the 2026 Manx Grand Prix.
The 22-year-old son of former TT winner and current rider liaison officer Richard ‘Milky’ Quayle will contest the event with the ambition of eventually following his father as a TT competitor.
Illiam’s path began in Mini Moto racing at age 10, leading to multiple local and national championships.
After campaigns in British Superbike support series, a move to Manx Legend Racing in 2023 reignited his progress, yielding strong results on 600cc and 1000cc machines.
A subsequent wildcard entry into the National Superstock Championship paved the way for a full season in 2025, which he admits presented challenges.
Fresh Start
A new partnership with Ian Lougher’s Team ILR, however, has signalled a fresh start.
The team confirmed plans for Illiam to compete at selected Scarborough meetings, the North-West 200, and the Manx GP in 2026 on Paton and Honda machinery.
Expressing his enthusiasm on social media, Illiam Quayle stated: “Been hard to keep this one quiet a massive thank you to Team ILR with Frog Vehicle Developments for this amazing opportunity to move forward onto the roads for 2026.
