Ste Whitley’s stoppage time winner saw FC Isle of Man end a run of three games without a win as they beat FC St Helens 3-2 in a dramatic game at the Bowl.
That win takes the Ravens back within four points of the playoff spots.
The visitors took the lead in the 16th minute as they found a free man from a corner, his header was touched on by Michael Ibeto to leave Adam Killey with no chance, 0-1.
Charlie Higgins drew Paul Jones’ men level soon after though as he burst through the lines, rounded Joe Mason and slotted into the empty net to make it 1-1.
Just before the break, St Helens had Josh Hall sent off, apparently for something he said to linesman.
The second half saw the Ravens come out flying as Higgins turned provider by picking out Luke Booth who headed home at the front post to make it 2-1.
The visitors gained a deserved equaliser as Thomas Smith came off the bench to slot one past Adam Killey to make it 2-2.
As the 10 men frustrated the Ravens, who in truth struggled to create much, Joe Mason made some brilliant stops, including a double stop from Higgins and Danny Gerrard.
As the clock ticked down, Callum Sherry picked out Whitley at the back post, with the winger leaping like the prevebial salmon, on a trampoline, fired from a cannon, to head home and give the Ravens a 3-2 win.
The Ravens next game is at home to Glossop North End on January 4.
