Registrations Open For Next Wind Farm Hearings

Dark Clouds Over Offshore Windfarm

The independent Examining Body has confirmed the next round of meetings and hearings for the Mooir Vannin Offshore Wind Farm application.

A Public Meeting will be held on Monday, May 11 at 6pm, alongside four Specific Issue Hearings, each starting at 10am:

  • Monday, May 11 – Hearing 4: shipping, navigation and other effects at sea
  • Tuesday, May 12 – Hearing 5: landscape and visual impact
  • Wednesday, May 13 – Hearing 6: environmental assessment
  • Thursday, May 14 – Hearing 7: marine infrastructure consent

All of the sessions will take place at the Comis Golf Club.

Register to Attend

Anyone wishing to speak or attend, either in person or via Microsoft Teams, must register in advance through the Marine Infrastructure Planning website, by emailing MIMA.Applications@gov.im, or by writing to the Cabinet Office.

Registrants will be allocated a speaking timeslot at the Public Meeting and opportunities to address agenda items at the hearings.

Recordings and transcripts from the previous round of meetings remain available online, and all upcoming sessions will be livestreamed on YouTube, with recordings published afterwards.

The Examining Body has also opened a 10‑day consultation on the applicant’s proposed change request, with responses due by Tuesday, May 5 at 23:59.
