Fly Tipping Reported in Ramsey

Ramsey Commissioners are appealing for information after another fly tipping incident was found in the lane behind Gladstone Avenue, near the Telephone Exchange.

Staff were diverted from routine duties to remove an old door, bags of rubble and household waste left in the area.

The Commissioners say the dumping not only creates an unpleasant environment but also poses a health risk by attracting vermin.

Anyone who witnessed the items being left, or who has information that could help identify those responsible, is asked to contact the Technical Department on 810100 (option 3). All information will be treated in confidence.

Fly‑tipping is an offence under the Litter Act 1972, carrying a maximum fine of £2,500. The Commissioners say a Fixed Penalty Notice will be issued where possible and further legal action may follow.

Residents are urged to dispose of waste responsibly and help keep the town clean and safe.
