A section of Andreas Road will be closed this Friday and Saturday for road repairs.
The closure will affect the route from its junction with the St Judes Road to the junction with the Kiondroghad Road.
The road will be closed midway through the day on Friday for the afternoon. It will then be reimposed on Saturday morning for the full day.
The exact time the closure comes into effect on Friday will depend on the completion of works being undertaken at another site.
That road is scheduled to be surface dressed later this summer and these upcoming works are being undertaken to ensure that the road is in a suitable condition for those works.
A post from the Department said: “Whereas the southbound lane was recently resurfaced following the installation of a new water main, the north bound lane was not included in those works and requires attention.
“The narrow nature of the road means that repairs have to be done under a temporary closure.”
During the closure, all through traffic will be diverted and motorists travelling between Andreas village and St Judes should use either the Andreas to Regaby Road or the Bernahara Road.
Access to and from residences within the closure will be facilitated, but delays may be experienced.
