Police say the road between St Mark’s Crossroads and Clanna Road Crossroads has reopened.
The road had been closed since about 12pm.
All three emergency services have been at the scene, with the Police initially saying the road would be closed for some time.
Officers had said it will remain closed until at least 7pm and asked motorists heading home to take an alternative route, but it opened earlier than expected shortly after 5pm.
