Roadworks to start on Wednesday in Onchan

The Department of Infrastructure (DOI) is to undertake carriageway repairs around access chambers on Main Road, Onchan, at the junction with Nursery Avenue.

It is also to do carriageway repairs in the lower section of Nursery Avenue (between Stoney Road and Main Road).

Work will start on Wednesday (June 26) and will be completed on or before Friday (June 28).

Where necessary there will be temporary traffic lights on Main Road, Onchan.

There will also be a temporary closure order in place for the lower section of Nursery Avenue. Wherever possible this will only be utilised during working hours.

In the lower half of Nursery Avenue, parking will be prohibited in any areas marked by no waiting cones, for the duration of these works.

The DOI team will generally be on site between 8am to 4pm.

Pedestrian access will not be affected. Two way traffic will be maintained on Main Road, Onchan under temporary traffic lights.

Vehicular access to Nursery Avenue will be via Church Avenue and Stoney Road.
