Road racing star Michael Rutter is recovering at home after suffering multiple fractures during this year’s second Supertwin race.
Rutter was airlifted to Aintree Hospital’s Walton Unit in Liverpool, where surgeons stabilised fractures between the L2 and L5 vertebrae.
Michael Rutter Racing confirmed his return said: “We are very happy to let you all know that Michael is now back at home on the road to recovery, and getting some much needed rest now that the medical teams have done their bit.”
The team added: “All of us at Bathams AJN Racing would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has been part of Michael’s care so far and to everyone for their kind words and well wishes.”
